PRESENTATION TOPIC
Active Shooter Preparedness
Active shooter incidents are often unpredictable and evolve quickly. In the midst of the chaos, anyone can play an integral role in mitigating the impacts of an active shooter incident.
While there is not a single method that should be used to respond to an active shooter, prior planning will allow you and the people you are with to choose the best option to handle the situation.
What you do matters. And in this presentation, you will learn how to potentially stop a threat by utilizing the following:
AVOIDING - DENYING - DEFENDING
Your immediate actions should be focused on maximizing your personal safety until Law Enforcement is able to stop the threat.
Presented by: Sergeant Michael L. Rago – Ontario County Sheriff Department
