“Understanding Supply Chain Risk”
The supply chain industry is crazier than we’ve even seen. Early on in the pandemic people realized they needed items to enhance the work from home experience and they started ordering. Many of these orders come from overseas and we have seen an influx of containers on larger vessels than ever in the past. Ships started stacking up at the ports and many companies have a “just-in-time” model which in normal times works well but has been tested in this current environment. During the past year we have seen numerous vessels with shipments overboard, fires, and general average. Please join us as we take a look at the risks surrounding supply chains.
Kerri Kwolek, ARM, Regional Risk & Insurance Manager, Expeditors
Kerri has been in the logistics industry for thirty-seven years and has worked as an Operations Agent, Customer Service Representative, Department Manager, District Sales and is currently a Regional Risk Manager. She has her license in Property and Casualty in the state of Michigan and has her Associates in Risk Management from The Institutes. She belongs to Risk and Insurance Management Society and she frequently gives seminars on all things related to Supply Chain Risk.
