Manan has over 20 years of experience in the Insurance and Risk Management industry with specialization in Directors and Officers Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fidelity, Professional Liability, Transactional Liability and Cyber Liability. Manan has a proven track record as a Trusted Risk Advisor and leverages his expertise to help clients achieve strategic and business goals through state-of-the-art Risk Transfer solutions. He has extensive experience in deploying and managing coordinated multi-jurisdictional insurance programs. He is also the recipient of the 2017 Business Insurance magazine’s Breakout Award and 2024 Power Broker Finalist.
Prior to joining USI, Manan was the Financial Lines Practice Leader at Cross Insurance where he was responsible for developing and executing Financial Lines strategy for the Cross enterprise. Immediately preceding that, he was a member of the executive team at The Spofford Group. He was directly responsible for all aspects of client servicing including Brokerage, Insurer Partnerships, Sales and Claims Advocacy. Prior to that, he was Vice President within Marsh’s Financial & Professional (FINPRO) division in Boston. He routinely assembled local and global teams for designing and successfully implementing risk mitigation solutions for clients of all sizes. He was also a member of the FINPRO Innovation council at Marsh which was tasked with designing and successfully launching innovative Insurance products

Kyle Cavalieri, President, Avalon Cyber
Kyle is an IT security professional with 17+ years of experience providing consultative services surrounding complex technology issues, information security management, cybersecurity, digital forensic incident response, expert testimony, and electronic discovery. He leads, manages, and provides guidance and focus to Avalon Cyber team members regarding engagement, our mission/vision/values, and sales and operational objectives. Kyle also architects, develops, and implements all technology service offerings provided by Avalon Cyber, and develops sales, marketing, and measurable service plans for purposes of Avalon Cyber’s go-to-market strategy.

Ashley Franczak, Partner/Practice Leader/ USI
Ashley Franczak proudly serves as Practice Leader of USI’s Central and Eastern New York Property and Casualty Practice. She leads clients and colleagues through the analysis, design, marketing, and placement of casualty and alternative risk financing programs. Partnering with USI risk advisors and account managers, Ashley helps clients understand the complexities and components of their insurance costs and loss areas to mitigate claims through modification review and alternative risk financing analysis. Ashley is a strategic problem solver and utilizes resources to best protect business practices. She is a consultative partner who works to meet and exceed clients’ objectives. p
After working as a civilian for the United States Marine Corps and Army, Ashley began her insurance career at Liberty Mutual in 2012 as a Workers’ Compensation Claims Team Lead. In 2013, she joined the broker side at Marsh where she served as a Client Advisor specializing in Alaska Native Corporations, oil and gas, public entities, and government service contractors. Ashley then took on the role of Commercial Risks Team Leader in 2017 at Alera Group focusing on sales, services and leadership in construction, real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, and higher education. Her approach is delivering impactful and effective solutions to her clients based on their ever-changing needs, industry trends, and market developments.

Kevin Szczepanski, Partner/Co-Chair Data Security & Technology Practice, Barclay Damon
Kevin is a partner and the Co-Chair of Barclay Damon’s Data Security & Technology Practice Area. He represents businesses facing first- and third-party losses due to data breaches, service interruptions, theft, and other cyber threats. He counsels clients on legal compliance, contract drafting, and insurance coverage for cyber risks. And he represents clients in both cyber-liability and insurance-coverage disputes. Kevin is also the host of Barclay Damon Live: Cyber Sip, the firm's biweekly cybersecurity podcast.
