Raising The Bar: Using Data Analytics to Elevate Risk Management
(Presented by Origami Risk)
As technology enables more organizations to capture increasing amounts of data, effective use of analytics now holds the key to elevating the risk management function.  By utilizing data analytics, many of today’s leading risk professionals are gaining greater insights about their organizations’ risk portfolio and the financial implications of their combined risk transfer, retention and mitigation programs.

Learn how using data analytics to help your organization:

  • break down its total cost of risk to gain a deeper understanding of individual cost drivers and quantify their impact;
  • dissect your insurance program, compare it to trends in the overall insurance market, and strengthen your ability to negotiate with carriers;
  • develop meaningful benchmark analysis for better decision-making, resource allocation, and overall  process improvement;
  • evaluate retentions and premiums; and
  • present this information so it is both easily understood and actionable.
The presentation will show risk managers how they can use data, analytics and software—in combination with their organizational knowledge and business perspectives—to elevate risk management and drive results across their organizations.  A variety of scenarios will be discussed so audience members from different types of organizations will come away with ideas on how to apply these concepts to their own organizations.  The discussion will include specific examples within risk management operations as well as a case study showing how a risk manager effectively used analytics and the results achieved.
